Sustainable tourism can be a really tricky subject to understand. The topics are complex, the world is always evolving, and it can be hard to tell what's a fad and what can have real impact. Anula de-mystified that all for me, breaking down abstract concepts and translating them into practical, manageable day-to-day actions. I feel like I'm able to implement the impactful advice piece-by-piece to make a difference every day.

In the spring of 2021, two general managers of hotels at Krasnaya Polyana Resort completed the Sustainable Tourism Management for Practitioners course. This helped them learn more about sustainable tourism and inspired them to achieve impressive results in reducing their environmental impact. Now, these hotels are leading in fulfilling the tasks of the Krasnaya Polyana Resort Sustainable Development Strategy, one of them was awarded the Green Key international award. I thank all the teachers of the course, and especially Anula Galewska, for the inexhaustible energy and perseverance in our common cause of transition of the tourism and hospitality industry to sustainable development!

It turns out that not everything is so difficult! Many are afraid to delve deeper into the issue of sustainable tourism and eco-certification. We were also afraid, as we saw a scaringly-long list of requirements :) But, thanks to Anula Galewska, her seminars, and consulting support, we received Travelife Partner status in less than a month! She "chewed" every point and everything turned out to be not so scary. Many criteria are easy to achieve with no extra effort or expense. Now we can take the next big step to further grow our business and better preserve nature in Kyrgyzstan!

If you do not have a few extra years for independent study and exploration of the nuances of the theory and practice of sustainable tourism, and you need practical advice and successful cases from the world leaders of responsible tourism, then you should pay attention to the courses from Sustainable Tourism Made Easy. I took part in two courses organized in Kazakhastan: on sustainable accommodation management and sustainable tour operations, both offered by Anula Galewska. As a guide, Anula helped me quickly understand the practicalities of managing sustainability, and learn from the experience of others. Everything was delivered in a very approachable format and language.
